They quickly transported Belle to a nearby animal hospital for evaluation. Doing so would have caused excessive blood loss, which could have been fatal in her weakened state.

Instead, the medical team had to create a slow and careful treatment plan, addressing her condition in stages to protect her life. The CLAW team didn’t hesitate to step in and offer Belle the long-term care she so desperately needed. They brought her back to their facility and ensured she had a clean, warm place to rest, nutritious food to help her regain her strength, and plenty of love and attention. They knew Belle’s journey would be long, but they also knew she was worth every effort.
